Barbara Mitchell is a former member of the Stellar and Grammy Award winning group God’s Property with Kirk Franklin. Barbara has worked with world renowned producers such as Sanchez Harley, Derrick Lee, Kevin Bonds, Kirk Franklin, and the late Frank Williams. In 1995, she recorded lead vocals with the ‘Women of Worship (Crown Collection)’. In 2000, her song was featured again on the ‘Best of GMWA Women of Worship’.
In 2002, she recorded again as lead vocalist with the GMWA Organization, and her list of recorded works goes on and on. She has also performed on television shows such as Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel, TBN and Daystar with Marcus and Joni Lamb. Barbara began singing before audiences and congregations by the time she was five years old. She has grown into an anointed powerhouse vocalist and is best known for her raspy and preachy vocal style. Barbara is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, evangelist, author, administrator and business woman in the Body of Christ.
She has released three solo projects: Barbara Mitchell – Bringing It Back Home (featuring Dr. Bobby Jones and Pastor Tim Rogers), Have Your Way Lord (featuring Tiffany Morgan Agee {TuTu}), and her latest release Barbara Mitchell presents “God’s Little People” {GLP} – A Youth Project.
Evangelist Barbara Mitchell is originally from Blytheville, Arkansas. She is a member of the Prince of Peace Church under the leadership of Pastor Tim Rogers. She is the founder of the Bishop T. J. Rogers Helping Hands Foundation and a television producer of several gospel shows for I Media (DCTV) – BM Productions in Dallas. She is a graduate of Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Organizational Management. Barbara Mitchell is a proud wife, mother and grandmother.
